About MacGregor Equestrian Farms

Portrait of Dru and Daune MacGregor MacGregor Equestrian Farms is a 100-acre hunter-jumper equestrian facility located in the rolling hills of Southern Ontario outside the town of Chatsworth, which is located between Owen Sound and Meaford, Ontario. This area has been designated as a World Heritage Biosphere site as part of the Niagara Escarpment.
MacGregor Farms is owned and operated by Dr. Daune MacGregor and her daughter, Dru MacGregor. Both Daune and Dru completed their Masters in Business Administration from Athabasca University in 2014. Dr. MacGregor has also completed an Equine Science Certificate at the University of Guelph and takes overall responsibility for the Hunter-Jumper Breeding.
Portrait of Dru and Daune MacGregorDru takes responsibility for the Hunter – Jumper Training Program and Young Horse Development program; she has been competitive on the Ontario equestrian circuit on both the National ‘A’ circuit and the local Georgian Bay Trillium Circuit competing in the hunter, jumper and equitation divisions. Over the past several years Dru has travelled to the United States competing in Georgia, Massachusetts, Mississippi and Virginia. Dru has taken an active role in the Trillium Hunter Jumper Association in the Georgian Bay Zone for the past several years and currently as the President and Zone Representative.
MacGregor Equestrian Farms is a full service operation with a focus on breeding and training of hunters and jumpers. The facility has two ten stall stables and several large paddocks with indoor and outdoor sand rings featuring a bank and grob. The facility offers full training boarding and beginner to advanced lessons.

The Facility

Portrait of Dru and Daune MacGregorMacGregor Equestrian Farms is a 100-acre hunter-jumper equestrian facility located in the rolling hills of Southern Ontario outside the town of Chatsworth, which is located between Owen Sound and Meaford, Ontario and is part of the Niagara Escarpment. The farm is easily accessed from Highway 6, Highway 10, Highway 26 and Grey Road 40. The facility offers two ten stall barns, an 80’ x 160’ indoor arena, a 100’ x 200’ outdoor arena featuring a bank and grob, trails throughout the property, heated tack room, and heated lounge area. MacGregor Equestrian operates two-horse and a four-horse trailers that are annually inspected and serviced.
