MacGregor Equestrian Farms is a 100-acre hunter-jumper equestrian facility located in the rolling hills of Southern Ontario outside the town of Chatsworth, which is located between Owen Sound and Meaford, Ontario. This area has recently been designated as a World Heritage Biosphere site as part of the Niagara Escarpment.
MacGregor Farms is owned and operated by Dr. Daune MacGregor and her daughter, Dru MacGregor. Dr. MacGregor completed an Equine Science Certificate at the University of Guelph and takes overall responsibility for the Hunter-Jumper Breeding Program along with Breeding Manager, Tracy Sammons.
Dru takes responsibility for the Hunter – Jumper Training Program; she has been competitive on the Ontario equestrian circuit on both the National ‘A’ circuit and the local Georgian Bay Trillium Circuit competing in the hunter, jumper and equitation divisions. Over the past several years Dru has travelled to the United States competing in Georgia, Massachusetts, Mississippi and Virginia.
MacGregor Equestrian Farms is a full service operation with a focus on breeding and training of hunters and jumpers. The facility has two ten stall stables and several large paddocks with indoor and outdoor sand rings featuring a bank and grob. The facility offers full training boarding and beginner to advanced English lessons with the goal of moving up to a competitive show level on both the ‘A’ circuit and the THJA-Georgian Bay zone.
